Meet the Successful Artists of Today at Artexpo Las Vegas
Now that was a fun Monday! Yesterday we hosted trendsetting buyers and hundreds of contemporary artists, galleries, and art publishers from across the globe for Day Two of Artexpo Las Vegas.
Attendees joined Eric Smith, president of Redwood Media Group; Linda Mariano, managing director of marketing for RMG; and art-focused designer Dorothy Willetts for an insider’s perspective and tour of the show, stopping at the booths of must-see exhibitors and award winners. During a Meet the Artist and live demonstration event, ATP tennis pro Walter Redondo wowed designers with the color, effects, and shapes in his abstract painting.
Exhibitors found great success, making sales and getting commissions. Jared Schwalb placed the full “The Color of Money” series—inspired by the bitcoin phenomenon—with a collector. Gebhardt Gallery took two commissions and placed Horse for $22,000. Arte Collective placed two of Tim Tadder’s “Nothing to See” series, which features America’s Next Top Model contestant Jeana Turner, at $5,500 each.
Coming up today are more Meet the Artist and live demonstration events as well as more of Las Vegas Market‘s original programming, which will appeal to designers, buyers, and retailers, offering attendees a wealth of choices to connect with peers, become educated on industry trends, and get insights on important issues impacting the future. Check out the full schedule for all the details.
